Will those who are cremated
be ressurected?
Many Christians have expressed the fear that if they are cremated then they will some how prevent God from resurrecting their bodies when He returns. This thinking would suggest that the creator of all things, the God who brought existence from non-existence, which is the same God who created everything out of nothing in eternity past, is some how unable to create a body from ashes. God created Adam from the dirt of the earth and the breath of life from His nostrils (Genesis 2:7). Is this God, now, some how thwarted because a body is cremated, by all means NO! The God who created the heavens and the earth is able to resurrect even the bodies that have decayed and turned to dust over the last two thousand years since the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Cremation or not, when God calls all those who have died in Christ to rise, they will by all means rise. [mp]
