VERSES

The reason we memorize scripture is the same reason we put money into a savings account, and the same reason we put food into a pantry; so in times of need and hunger it is readily available. God's word is living and active (Hebrews 4:12); His word comforts us (Psalm 119:28); and His word is a light onto our paths (Psalm 119:105). And while the benefits of putting them to memory are endless, it is best summed up by the Psalmist when he wrote, "I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you (Psalm 119:11)." Here is a small sample of verses from every book in the Bible that are worth hiding in your heart. Do not simply memorize them but study them, and learn what it is God is trying to teach you.
